National Tulip Day - The big kick-off of the tulip season

Tulips are great seasonal favorites in the Netherlands. During the last winter months and spring, these flowers are just everywhere! Tulip bulbs and tulip bouquets have long been very popular. As a big kick-off of the season, the National Tulip Day is held annually on the third Saturday in January.

One of the national events the "Tulpendag" ("Tulip Day")  is the large tulip garden on the Dam square in Amsterdam. With the picking garden that is being built by the growers with the Bloemenbureau Holland, the Dam square is transformed into a tulip paradise with thousands of flowers. From 13h to 17h the garden is open to the public and everyone can pick a beautiful tulip bouquet together.

Especially for Tulip Day, a "Tulip Day" bouquet has been compiled in our Tulip Collection. This bouquet in fresh yellow, cream and orange tones is a cheerful spring appearance! The bouquet is available from about the beginning of January until mid-April, when the tulip season normally ends.
